A journey for soulful sober women who are ready  get clean and sober around food and experience serenity beyond the bathroom scale. 

This container was created with the intention to help you find sobriety around food and body. I want to gently guide you down the path of abstinence from drug like foods that ignite the addiction, while creating a program of recovery that is designed just for you so that you can maintain long term recovery. 

This program is here to support you as you make the brave decision of letting go of drug foods such as sugar, flour & alcohol. The detox phase of with-drawl from these substances will be tough. It will feel difficult. You will feel like giving up. 

However, I am here to hold your hand and guide you through this entire journey. When the rest of the world will try to tell you "just one bite", I am here to remind you that for one with addiction "one is too many and a thousand is never enough".

This journey will be an intimate pilgrimage of physical, spiritual and emotional change. You will experience changes in your body. You will experience greater confidence in your skin as you feel empowered around food.

THE RADIANT BODY METHOD

ABSTINENCE FROM DRUG FOODS

Because we approach food addiction from a biochemical stance, the drug that triggers the physical obsession and craving has to be removed. For most this is sugar and flour, but others may also be sensitive to grains and starches- experimentation is required. One will experience withdrawals and cravings initially, however once this phase is passed, one will experience the  freedom and serenity that follows. This is an essential and fundamental part of the program. We will focus on this step in order to bring the body and brain back into balance. 

pre-meditative eating

In this program you will be introduced to pre-meditative eating. This is a form of eating that helps to break the addiction and compulsion. Binge eating, compulsive eating and addictive eating is spontaneous rash, wreck-less and impulsive. You want to move away from that. You will be guided on how to plan and pre-pare food in a way that is a pre-meditative process. With each pre-meditative meal you have, the further you move from the addiction.

nourishment activities

Many times, you turn to food not because other needs are not met. You unconsciously think you need more food, when in reality no amount food can nourish the rest, sleep and connection that you crave. These nourishment activities are what will keep you satisfied with life, so you no longer need food to fill the void. You are unique, and we will uncover what nourishment activities YOU need in order to be able to maintain food sobriety,

daily accountability

Recovery from food addiction is hard work- mostly because you live in a world that celebrates decadence and finds the concept of abstinence insanity. However for the addicted brain, this is the path to freedom. I hold my clients accountable in a world where they are living "against the grain" while trying to recover. While everyone else is telling you "just one bite", I am here to remind you "remember why you started and where you are heading". I won't let you slip into denial when the addiction wants to take over. I'm here to keep you accountable on this beautiful journey.

A Note From Holly

What sets my work apart? I understand food addiction, and what it takes to recover. 

With regard to food, I have been to hell and back, multiple times. I've been on every diet and exercise program known to man. I've been in 12 step programs for food addiction for years. I thought getting sober from drugs and alcohol would magically "heal" my relationship with food, but realised it takes so much more. 

I am someone who has struggled with addiction my whole life- especially with sugar, flour and processed foods. I was sure i'd have to be on a diet and use compulsive exercise my whole life in order to look and feel good- because I could not control my eating. 

However, I have found that food addiction is treatable. Many people are misdiagnosed with binge eating disorder, bulimia, etc- when underlying those issues lies an insidious food addiction. 

I understand that food addiction is a biochemical malady- that needs to be treated through physical abstinence from drug foods, and then through other tools that will support your long term recovery. I will teach you how to cope with life, so you will no longer need to go to the food when life gets life-y. 

i understand the pain of not being able to moderate certain foods. I know what it's like to live in the suffering of binge and restrict. But I also know what it means to experience freedom and I want to help you get there.

Have a question before joining?

If you have tried everything- from diets to exercise programs, fasting, juicing, keto, paleo, veganism and nothing has worked- you still manage to overeat and binge on all of the above, then the addiction framework may very well be your path towards food serenity. You may like so many have been misdiagnosed. Your weight is not the problem- it's because you are eating foods that your body cannot tolerate which results in the phenomenon of craving and overeating. You don't starve because you like the feeling of starving, but because you know once you start eating you cannot stop. This program ends all of that. 

This is not a diet- rather it is an entry point towards a new lifestyle through a plan of recovery. A new way of being, feeling and operating in this world beyond the food. Yes you will learn how to eat, cook, meal plan and prepare food- but there is so much more to this than that. You will learn how to deal with all the things that caused you to turn to food in the first place.  There is no finish or ending- this is a life long process that you will need to maintain one day at a time. 

No. You will not weigh yourself. You are so much more than a number on the scale. Your focus will be on actions, behaviors, watching your thoughts + emotions, and shifting your beliefs- and by doing so, you WILL make progress and you WILL be able to feel it. The point of this program is embodiment- so you will learn how to move away from the “thinking” and into the feeling, experiencing, embodying. You can weigh yourself occasionally, but that can cause issues. Your weight will take care of itself, I promise. In order to heal food obsession, we must also focus on healing body obsession- they fuel each other.

No, we eat real food. Whatever style of eating you choose is up to you. But I encourage you to be openminded and not try to eat any certain way because you heard it will "help you lose weight". The focus here is recovery. If you focus on recovery, I promise you the weight will take care of itself.

I work with spiritually minded sober women who have tried it all, and have found that nothing has worked. They are open to the idea that they may have an underlying food addiction and are open to trying an abstinence based recovery model from their "drugs" of choice (sugar, flour, wheat, etc) . This is a beautiful journey that is more amazing than any "drug" food can ever give- plus the physical changes you will experience will bring you so much confidence and satisfaction.
